Poseidenfoundation and SbecSkateboarding in Quito
The event organized by Poseidenfoundation and SbecSkateboarding at Parque de la Carolina attracted a lot of people and among more than 50 participants they distributed more than 30 t-shirts of different international brands, 6 feet of shoes, 8 boards, several pairs of trucks and wheels, but above all there was much joy, laughter and good times with Laura Thornhill Caswell Fabrizio Santos, Eliana Sosco, Ivonne Navas and Micaela Ramirez, it was undoubtedly the best event of the year, the registration was completely free and could enjoy a very good level of tricks in the different modules of the Track,
The following day they held a skate clinic with children from Aldeas infantiles together with Renato, they shared time with the children, they were given an introduction to skateboarding and they were taught to build their own boards that were donated by Poseidenfoundation, the children come from very difficult circumstances, but thanks to people like Renato, he is making a big difference in the life of each of these children. By teaching them that no matter what happens in life, they can succeed and achieve their dreams.

Below is a short interview with Micaela Ramirez, who is the creator of the Poseiden Foundation.
1-I started Poseiden Foundation after working with several nonprofits that worked with children that were very poor, orphaned or lived on the street.

After working with Ninos De La Calle, Quito, Ecuador, and asking the kids what they were passionate about, what were their dreams, and they telling me that it was to have a mom or a dad or be able to have a house or food, it touched my heart.

I was already working with professional athletes in the US and thought why not use skateboarding to make a difference and change the mindset of society in creating a better world for kids, communities and society as a whole, so I met with my dear friend Stephanie Pasakarnas and we decided to create Poseiden Foundation a foundation that is used to inspire youth to pursue their passions and accomplish their dreams.

2-I do what I do, because I feel that we all can make our planet a better place to live. There should be no reason for homelessness, poverty, or corruption. Yes, we are human, but being Gives us the luxury to make conscious decisions. My conscious decision is to help others by giving back and giving back through a sport I love, skateboarding.

3-Many people are involved in our Humanitarian Outreach Projects. We have private donors who we are so ever grateful for, the skate industry that has supported our efforts and we are honored to be working with, and professional athletes within the action sports community, and of course the skateboarders themselves. We have a diversity of community involvement and we are graciously humbled by all their support and advocacy they do for Poseiden Foundation in creating a better place, a better home, a better planet.

4-As for our future plans, we plan on continuing to do what we are doing. We plan on still working with skateboarding and help grow more inspired youth to pursue their passions and accomplish their dreams.

El evento organizado por Poseidenfoundation y SbecSkateboarding en el parque de la Carolina atrajo a mucha gente y entre mas de 50 participantes se repartieron más de 30 camisetas de diferentes marcas internacionales , 6 pies de zapatos , 8 tablas , varios pares de trucks y ruedas , pero sobre todo se compartió mucha alegría , risas y buenos momentos junto a Laura Thornhill Caswell Fabrizio Santos, Eliana Sosco , Ivonne Navas y Micaela Ramirez , sin duda fue el mejor evento del año , la inscripción fue totalmente gratuita y se pudo disfrutar de muy buen nivel de trucos en los diferentes módulos de la Pista ,
Al día siguinte realizaron una clínica de skate con niños de Aldeas infantiles junto a Renato , se compartir tiempo con los niños , se les dio una introducción al skateboard y se les enseño a armar sus propias tablas que fueron donadas por Poseidenfoundation , los niños provienen de circunstancias muy difíciles, pero gracias a personas como Renato, él está haciendo una gran diferencia en la vida de cada uno de estos niños. Al enseñarles que no importa lo que suceda en la vida, pueden tener éxito y lograr sus sueños.
Esperamos que todos sus proyectos sigan adelante , sigan apoyando a las diferentes escenas locales de todo el país y solo queda decir muchas gracias .
A continuación una pequeña entrevista con Micaela Ramirez , que es la creadora de Fundación Poseiden .

Micaela

1-Comencé con la Fundación Poseiden después de trabajar con varias organizaciones sin fines de lucro que trabajaban con niños muy pobres, huérfanos o que vivían en la calle.

Después de trabajar con niños De La Calle, Quito, Ecuador, y preguntarles a los niños qué les apasionaba, cuáles eran sus sueños y decirme que era tener una mamá o un papá o poder tener una casa o una comida. , me tocó el corazón.

Ya estaba trabajando con atletas profesionales en los Estados Unidos y pensé por qué no usar el monopatín para marcar la diferencia y cambiar la mentalidad de la sociedad para crear un mundo mejor para los niños, las comunidades y la sociedad en general, así que me reuní con mi querida amiga Stephanie Pasakarnas. y decidimos crear la Fundación Poseiden, una fundación que se utiliza para inspirar a los jóvenes a seguir sus pasiones y cumplir sus sueños.

2-Hago lo que hago, porque creo que todos podemos hacer de nuestro planeta un lugar mejor para vivir. No debe haber ninguna razón para la falta de vivienda, la pobreza o la corrupción. Sí, somos humanos, pero ser nos da el lujo de tomar decisiones conscientes. Mi decisión consciente es ayudar a los demás devolviéndolos y devolviéndolos a través de un deporte que me encanta, el skateboarding.

3-Muchas personas están involucradas en nuestros Proyectos de Alcance Humanitario. Tenemos donantes privados por los que estamos muy agradecidos, la industria del patinaje que ha apoyado nuestros esfuerzos y nos sentimos honrados de trabajar con ellos, y atletas profesionales dentro de la comunidad de deportes de acción y, por supuesto, los propios patinadores. Tenemos una diversidad de participación de la comunidad y nos sentimos gratamente humildes por todo el apoyo y la defensa que hacen para que la Fundación Poseiden cree un lugar mejor, un hogar mejor, un planeta mejor.

4-En cuanto a nuestros planes futuros, planeamos continuar haciendo lo que estamos haciendo. Planeamos seguir trabajando con el monopatín y ayudar a crecer a más jóvenes inspirados para perseguir sus pasiones y lograr sus sueños.
